Joe Carey has today received commitment from CIE/ Iarnród Éireann that a survey and assessment on the Ennis to Limerick railway line at Ballycar has been undertaken.
Deputy Carey has raised this issue several times over the recent past given closures of the line due to winter flooding.
While he said the movement is welcome, Deputy Carey has questioned the length of time it is taking to assess the works needed and proceed to construction.
