Three primary schools in North Clare have benefitted from Department of Education funding for additional accommodation and emergency works, Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey has confirmed.
In addition to a significant extension at Doolin National School, the works approved include an extension to Boston National School in Tubber and roof repairs at Liscannor National School.
Deputy Carey said that the extension at Boston NS would include a mainstream classroom including ensuite toilets and a special unit for assisted users.
Earlier in the week, Deputy Carey welcomed the Department’s approval for two mainstream classrooms and associated works at Doolin National School. He described it as a practical example of the Government’s commitment to medium sized schools in rural areas
