The announcement this morning of 500 new jobs and a substantial investment and expansion by TTM Healthcare is excellent news for County Clare.
TTM is involved in the recruitment of specialist healthcare professionals in both Ireland and the UK.
The indications are that a sizeable number of the 500 new roles will be based in the company’s headquarters in Ennis.
Currently, TTM employs 1,200 people and has a turnover of over €50 million. The healthcare firm is looking to significantly expand its revenues and double its workforce over the next five years.
The company, which has its headquarters in Ennis, recently announced a major investment by Broadlake.
The company has already expanded internationally, marking it out as an exciting and forward thinking company that is expected to grow significantly in the years ahead.
TTM is one of the new generation of service industries established and operating internationally from its Ennis base. Other examples of this type of business model includes Loyaltybuild, operating on Station Road and with commercial interests further afield.
It proves that Ennis is an attractive location from which a company with international ambitions can successfully operate.
The announcement this morning from TTM is wonderful news for Ennis and the Mid West region.
I look forward to further positive job announcements for County Clare being made in the coming months as the economic recovery continues.
In the past four years we have seen unemployment levels in County Clare fall by 25%, and nationally over 135,000 new jobs have been created since 2012.
